Fancy British Officer's sword from early 19th century showing blue and gilt blade with "G.R." cypher. The inside "Cups" at each side of the guard show hand painted enamel scenes of Napoleonic era battle. The hilt is richly gold gilded over bras with silver wire wrapped grip. Very good to near fine original condition. Measures 39" overall with a 33" blade. No scabbard. The blade is signed "Osborn & Gunby's warranted". The enamelpanels are genuine to the period of the swords manufacture. Est.: $1500-$3000
