Incised carved "Kentucky" style rifle signed in fancy script initials "S.S." or "J.J." on the barrel. Pierced and engraved patch box with American eagle. Converted lock from flintlock to percussion. Measures 55 1/2"overall with a 40 3/4" barrel in approximately .45 caliber rifled with set triggers. The stock has been restored and well repaired break at the wrist. Small silver inlays with half-moon at the cheekpiece. Fancy side plate secured by 2 screws. Very good metal. Est.: $1500-$3000
