Overall length: 47 1/2". Blade length: 39 1/4". Plain diamond cross section blade w/ a sm. fuller extending 9 1/2" up from the hilt. There appear to be vestiges of words inside the fuller that are illegible. Iron cup hilt w/ lineal decoration. Crossguard is nearly 12" from tip to tip. Rnd. pommel. Iron wire wrapped grip w/ braided iron wire termination ferrules. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray cleaned finish showing remnants of light pitting. Hilt has a dark patina overall w/ some crusty deposits on the inside of the cup. No damage or repairs can be seen. (02-13368/BF). $1,200-1,500.
