Overall length: 46 1/2". Blade length: 39 1/4". Plain, unfullered single edged blade has 3 cruciform stampings 7" up from the hilt. Iron basket form guard w/ pierced decoration on the handguard & circular decoration on the basket. Iron pommel w/ lobed design. Wood grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a medium gray cleaned finish. Entire hilt has a dark patina but shows no visible damage. Wood grip shows great age w/ a few minor chips & no evidence of ever being leather covered. (02-13352/BF). $1,000-1,400.
