Cal. 45-70. S# 76776. Bbl. 22”. Low arch breech block dated 1873. 3 Position tumbler. Model 1877 carbine rear sight graduated to 1,200 yds. w/ slotless screws. Stud front sight w/ pinned blade. 2 Piece trigger guard. Long comb walnut stock has swivel bar w/ ring. Trap buttplate marked “US”. CONDITION: stock has refinish w/ slight loss of wood around buttplate & inletted areas leaving moderate staining & handling marks. Buttstock has punch marked initials “JP” below cheek area. Metal has thinning worn refinish. Fair worn bore w/ scattered shallow pitting throughout. (01-17409/RW). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
