^Lot 3300 3 CONFEDERATE CLOTH GUN SLINGS, CIRCA 1863.

3 Heavy cotton or cotton linen slings, all of different lengths but each approx. 1.75" wide (32.5", 33.25" & 37.5" each). Each sling has iron wire hook at one end & approx. .75" wide flat leather sling loop at the other. Sewn onto reverse side of each sling is a leather strip, slings leather start about 4", 6" & 10" from hook, leather strips range 8" – 10" long w/ holes designed to receive the hook. CONDITION: very good overall. 1 Sling has additional leather adjuster. Fabric soiled & stained. Scuffs & crazing to leather strips, but complete. PROVENANCE: Atlanta History Center 2005.
