Lot 846 19RH-20 PHILA. RIFLE

Full stocked percussion Kentucky rifle with barrel engraved “A.M.” in script. The lock is marked “Bird Bros, Philadelphia”. Measures 57” overall with a 43” barrel of .41 caliber rifled. Sleek styling with narrow buttmeasuring only 3 5/8” from top to the bottom of butt plate at heel. Set trigger with engraved patch box. The stock is fair to good and would have been very good except large sliver of wood missing at the top leftforward edge of the stock approximately 10” x ¼” also some damage to toe and blackening of stock which may hide damage or filled in wood on the left rear of buttstock (Sounds worse than it really is). The action workswell but the nipple is missing. From an old Northern California collection found between Clear Lake and Happy Camp. (Antique) Est.: $1250-$2500
