Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, #151063, .30 WCF (.30-30 CF) cal., blued 26'' octagonal barrel, with dovetailed long bead-blade front and buckhorn rear sights, marked with maker's name, address and 1894 patent date on top, ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' on left angled flat, and ''30 W.C.F.'' at breech; blued tubular magazine; receiver is marked ''Model 1894/Winchester/Pat. Aug. 21, 1894'' on upper tang, and serial number at lower front; case hardened loop operating lever and hammer; varnished walnut stocks, forend with steel nose cap, buttstock with steel crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1899. Condition is fine: the barrel retains approx. 85% smooth original blue, mag tube 75%; receiver, lever, nose cap and buttplate show a smooth gunmetal gray. Stocks are sound with the normal marks of age and use, pleasing color, and a later light coat of varnish. Action is strong and smooth; bore is brilliant with deep rifling. The Model 1894 has the distinction of continuous manufacture for over 115 years. Est.: $600-$900. (C&R)
