Turkish Model 1938 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #5789, 8x57mm cal., 29'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, inverted ''V'' front sight and adjustable tangent rear sight, with cleaning rod. Marked on receiver ring ''ATF 1954'', and on left side rail ''98.Th.'' No number on bolt handle that also shows evidence of heating. Other parts have mismatched numbers. Condition overall is very good with approx. 75% finish remaining on the metal which is brown toned overall and shows some rust along the wood line. Wood is very good with overall darkening and light handling marks. Action is smooth, bore is dark with good rifling that may clean better. Import stamped on right side of receiver. Est.: $250-$350.
