Marlin Model 444P (Outfitter) Lever Action Carbine, #01069702A, .444 Marlin cal., 18.5'' ported JM marked round barrel, blue finish, straight grip walnut stock with diamond center checkering, vented Marlin recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Sights include a hooded brass bead front sight and notched elevator rear sight. Top of receiver is drilled and tapped for scope, with crossbolt safety. Approx. 96% original blue finish remains, and metal surfaces rate as fine, with light scuffs and scratches mainly along the top and edges of receiver. Wood is good with a handful of larger impressions and scratches, most noticeable on left side of buttstock and on forend. Action is crisp with smooth hammer and trigger; bright bore with excellent rifling. Most of the external wear appears to be storage related. Est.: $300-$400. (Modern)
