Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, mfg'd in 1915, #762357, .30 W.C.F. cal., 20'' round ''Nickel Steel'' barrel, originally with blue finish; straight grip walnut stock and forend, with added vented brown rubber recoil pad. Sights include a blade front pinned to a fixed base and detailed folding rear sight. Top of barrel and receiver are both Winchester proofed. A little finish can be found between the barrel and magazine tube, otherwise metal is mostly gunmetal gray with areas of cloudy darkening; metal rates as good overall, factory lettering is visible. Wood with an added coat of varnish over mostly small nicks and scratches; forend with a few larger impressions on the bottom and right side, left rear corner with a small sliver missing. Buttstock is solid, bottom edge with a small hole from a previously installed sling swivel; LOP to end of replacement pad is 12-7/8'', 11-7/8'' to end of wood. Smooth crisp action; bore is dark with spots of moderate erosion, rifling is good. Est.: $300-$500. (C&R)
