Lot 275 S&W First Model Triplelock Revolver
Smith & Wesson First Model Hand Ejector Triplelock Double Action Revolver, #12445, .455 MK II cal., 6.5'' barrel, blue finish, factory checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions that are pencil numbered to this revolver; standard sights. Shipped May 10, 1916, to Bigelow & Co., Birmingham, England, with factory letter signed by S&W Historian Roy G. Jinks. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 98%+ original factory blue, with minor thinning at muzzle, and light wear to cylinder showing thin dragline. All straps retain ample blue. Frame, barrel and cylinder with ''(crown)/V'' and ''CP'' proofmarks. Grips are excellent with only the lightest impressions near butt. Crisp action, mirror bright bore.
