Stevens New Model Medium Frame Spurtrigger Tip-Up Pocket Rifle, Second Issue, With Detachable Skeleton Shoulder Stock, #2160, .22 RF cal., blued 20'' octagonal barrel with hooded Beach-style front and folding adjustable rear sights marked on left angled flat ''J. Stevens & Co. Chicopee Falls, Mass. Pat. Sept. 6, 1864'' in 1 line; nickel-plated steel frame with barrel release button, bushed firing pin, integral spurtrigger and gripstraps; blued hammer and trigger; two-piece varnished walnut grips; matching nickel-plated skeleton stock. Mfg'd 1875-96. Condition is good to very good, the barrel retaining 85% original deep blue showing scattered light dings; the frame, gripstraps and stock with 15% nickel mixed with rust corrosion and flaking; the grips fit well without cracks or chips. Action is tight and smooth; bore will clean with distinct rifling. Will benefit from a thorough cleaning; quite desirable with the matching skeleton stock. Est.: $300-$500. (Antique)
