C.G. Haenel Bolt Action Sporting Rifle, NVSN, 7x57mm, 24'' ribbed barrel, blue finish, checkered pistol-grip cheekpiece walnut stock, with later added rubber butt pad. Set trigger, striker mounted peep sight, dual position bright or blue blade front sight, with hand-matted and light border engraved receiver and barrel rib. Top of barrel flat inlaid in white metal ''C.G. Haenel, Suhl, Germany''. Condition is fine. Metal surfaces retain approx. 92% blue. Stock has been lightly sanded with an additional coat of varnish added, as well as rubber butt pad. Set triggers function as designed. Action is crisp, bore is bright. A nice little Jaeger rifle.
