Aulenbacher dated January 20, 1975, stating “This Boot Jack, the photographs of which I have signed, belonged to the “Jesse JamesGang”. It was given to Dr. Phillip Johnson by a member of the James family. I received it from the late Irma Mae Johnson, the daughter of Dr. Johnson, and presented it to Ralph Hewson for inclusion in his collectionof western frontier memorabilia”. Est.: $250-$500.
