Possibly unique French military marked St. Etienne musket converted to breech loading pin fire cartridge possibly for military trails. Measures 44 ½” overall with a 29 ¼” barrel approximately .69 caliber smoothbore.A spring mounted in fore end allows gun to swivel and open to load. Good bright arsenal finish with some worming that has been filled in wood. Good overall. Very interesting and researchable. (Antique) Est.: $1500-$3000
