Colt Model 1877 ''Thunderer'' Double Action Cartridge Revolver, #82363, .41 Colt CF cal., 4.5'' round barrel marked ''Colt's Pt. F. A. Mfg. Co. / Hartford, CT. U.S.A.'' in two lines, full nick-l plated finish, case hardened hammer, blued trigger, two-piece dark brown checkered hard rubber ''bird's head'' grips having the ''Rampant Colt'' logo in an oval panel at top. All matching visible serial numbers; loading gate is correctly numbered ''69''; the ''Colt D.A. 41'' caliber designation appears on left side of barrel. Left front of frame marked with the three-line 1971-74-75 patent dates and ''Rampant Colt'' logo within a circle. Mfg'd 1891. Condition is fine, retaining approx. 80% dulling nickel plate with losses mainly confined to inside triggerguard strap; the number ''ZO977254'' also appears there. Markings are excellent. Grips show wear to checkering and Colt logo but are without cracks or damage. Action is smooth and tight; bore is bright with defined rifling. Est.: $450-$750. (Antique)
