Antique Whitney Pocket Model Percussion Revolver, 2nd Model 4th Type, #3076, .31 cal., 3-7/8'' octagonal barrel marked ''E. Whitney / N. Haven'' in two lines, with 5-groove rifling, 5-shot cylinder with rolled scene of naval engagement, originally blued, case hardened and silver plated brass finishes, two-piece varnished walnut grips. Condition is very good showing no original finish and a smooth gunmetal gray color with sharp edges and markings; approx. 80% silver on triggerguard. Grips show light wear and marks and retain approx. 75% original varnish. Action is crisp but does not go to full cock or fully revolve cylinder; bore is dark with distinct rifling. Est.: $400-$600.
