Lot 435 Late-70's Ruger No. 1-A Light Sporter
Late-70's Ruger No. 1-A Light Sporter Single Shot Rifle in 7x57mm cal., #130-42421, 22'' barrel with quarter rib, folding rear sight, fixed front sight with brass bead, and blue finish. Checkered pistol-grip walnut stock with Alexander Henry forearm, factory red rubber pad, Ruger grip cap, and sling swivel studs. Included is a NECG peep sight that is mounted to the quarter rib. Mfg'd 1977. Metal rates as excellent, with approx. 98% original blue finish showing only intermittent normal light handling marks; factory lettering is clear. Wood is very good with approx. 97% original finish and clean sharp checkering that shows no visible wear, with mostly normal small marks from field/range use. Wood with a few more noticeable marks to the left side including left side of buttstock which has a 1.5'' vertical scratch; left side and tip of forend with a total of six pressure dents with the largest being approx. 1/4'' long x 1/8'' wide. Action is crisp; bright bore is in really great condition with excellent rifling. Est.: $700-$900. (Modern)
