Lot 316 Early Randall Model 5 ''Camp and Trail'' Knife

Early Randall Model 5 ''Camp and Trail'' Knife, with brown button Heiser sheath, 6'' blade with Randall logo and the name ''Richard C. Gordon'' on backside; 10-5/8'' overall, standard shaped stacked leather washer handle, single nickel silver hilt with eight (8) spacers total including two medium reddish, two thin white, and one thick dark spacer at the hilt; with aluminum pommel. In rough-back brown leather H.H. Heiser sheath with brown plastic ''Randall Made / Orlando, FLA.'' snaps, and marked on back with Heiser logo, as well as ''7'' to the right of the logo and ''1'' below; with unmarked solid gray sharpening stone. Knife is in very good used condition. Blade shows signs of additional sharpening and general scratching associated with normal field use; Randall logo is clear. Hilt shows mild toning. Handle rates a little higher and shows light to moderate age and wear. Sheath with considerable age and wear to the stone pouch and keeper strap; belt loop with a noticeable horizontal crack at the mid-point but is functional and intact. Stone is chipped along one of the short edges. Overall a nice knife that shows honest age and wear. Est.: $450-$650.
