Springfield Armory Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle, #1023119, .30-06 cal., 24'' barrel, parkerized/blued finish, walnut stock, blade front sight and leaf with aperture rear sight. Marked on receiver ring ''U.S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1903'', and on barrel behind the front sight ''SA/(flaming bomb)/7-12''. There are no cartouches or other stamps visible on the stock. The smooth buttplate has been modified by striking with a center punch to create a raised non-slip surface. Condition overall is very good with approx. 90% finish remaining on the metal, showing wear and patina on the bolt body. Wood is very good with a few light handling marks. Action is smooth, bright bore is excellent. Includes an unmarked U.S.G.I. Model 1907 leather sling which shows drying and flaking. Est.: $500-$700. (C&R)
