Winchester Model 12 Skeet Grade Slide-Action Shotgun, #818177. 16 ga. 26'' solid rib barrel has a 2-3/4'' chamber, target beads, and is choked ''WS-1'', with patent identification. Receiver has engine-turned bolt and shell lifter, and marked ''Skeet'' below the serial number. Full forend and pistol-grip buttstock are fancy walnut, with Winchester-marked grip cap and early Winchester butt pad. Mfg'd 1940. Condition is very good, as a coat of varnish has filled in checkering, with few small handling marks. Action is a little stiff and needs a cleaning, but functions correctly; bore is bright. A very nice 16 ga. Model 12 Skeet gun. Est.: $1,500-$2,500. (C&R)
