Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army Cartridge Revolver, #125475, .45 Colt CF cal., 4.75'' round barrel with two-line ''Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. / Hartford, CT. U.S.A.'' address, left frame with correct three-line 1871-72-75 patent dates, overall nickel-plated finish, steel grip straps with two-piece ivory plastic grips having large spread-wing eagles in relief. All visible serial numbers match; loading gate is marked ''82''; crescent-shaped ejector rod head. Mfg'd 1888. Condition is very good, retaining approx. 80% of what appears to be original nickel plating, dulling and lightly freckling in spots; blued trigger. All markings and edges are sharp; screw heads are unblemished; slightly undersized grips are modern replacements. Action is crisp and tight; bore is clean with defined rifling. Est.: $1,500-$2,500.
