^Lot 1252 19FB-71 MAUSER RIFLE

Chinese Contract Mauser bolt action rifle, 8 x 57 caliber, Serial #01309. The rifle is in fair overall condition with a 24” barrel with a ramped blade front and military tangent style rear sights. The metal surfaces have all gone to a dark patina with light surface erosion noted. The front ring features the Chinese crest. The smooth wood stock is in fair condition showing heavy use with dents, gouges and bruising. The butt stock retains sling swivels, a cleaning rod and ends with a smooth steel butt plate. The bore is fair, the action functions and the markings are legible. Manufactured by the Chinese arsenals during the period of Chiang-Kai Shek, these rifles saw heavy service in the military and later in Police service. Est.: $200-$400. (C+R).
