Lot 1002 19SAV-247 1842 PERCUSSION MUSKET

U.S. Model 1842 percussion musket in .69 caliber smoothbore with 42” barrel with lock of smaller size and dated 1848 on the rear portion. The bolster shows a reversed “K” which may be a company marking. The metal surfaces show some scattered pitting with some slightly heavy pitting in the area of the breech and on the hammer with a small amount of cleaning. The Eagle and Springfield are fully visible and well defined. The stock is good to very good also showing some cleaning and is slightly undersized against the metal.
