Arisaka Type 99 bolt action rifle, 7.7mm caliber, Serial #1083. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 26” barrel with a protected post front and military style tangent rear sights. The rear sight retains the aircraft wings. The metal surfaces have gone to a brown patina with the Mum ground off the front ring and all matching visible serial numbers. The smooth wood stock is in fair condition showing heavy use with dents, scrapes and compressions consistent with service use. The butt ends with a smooth steel butt plate showing moderate to heavy surface rust. The bore is fair, the action functions and the markings are legible. Est.: $300-$600. (C+R).
