Colt 1878 DA Frontier revolver with 4 3/4" barrel, .45 Colt cal., traces of blue finish, handmade old and crude wood grips, #21118, made 1888-89. Traces of blue mixed with brown patina, showing some scratches, minor pitting and normal aging. Good address, action works but loose and not staying on full cock. Front sight reduced slightly, bore worn, lanyard removed. Taken by Sheriff Williams from outlaw in hideout of mountains in Northern Arizona. Letter of provenance included. (Antique) Est. $600-1200
