Model 1893 Turkish Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, converted in 1936, importer applied serial #TU9300462, original #20723 on rear portion of receiver, 8mm Mauser cal., 29'' barrel, blue finish, hardwood stock, inverted ''V'' front sight, ''V''-notched tangent rear sight, with cleaning rod. Receiver ring with ''TC (star/moon)'', ''ASFA / Ankara'' markings and dated ''1936''. Left side with Arabic writing and new serial number. Right side of barrel is import marked. Numbers do not match. Condition is good. Metal with a combination darkened blue and brown patina with areas of light surface rust, heavier on the buttplate. Stock with some oil darkening, dings, and mars; right side with a wood repair around the remaining portion of the magazine cutoff. Receiver ring markings are clear.
