Czech Model VZ 1898/22 Bolt Action Rifle, #C1849, 8mm Mauser, approx. 29'' barrel, blue finish, hardwood stock, inverted ''V'' front sight with protector, ''V''-notched tangent rear sight, with hooked front band. Receiver ring with standard ''ZBROJOVKA'' markings; left side with ''Czech Lion'' and ''E23'' service marks. Left side of buttstock with ''4BL / 647'' in yellow paint. Receiver is lightly import marked. Numbers are not matching. No cleaning rod. Condition is good with a 50/50 combination of darkened blue and brown metal. Receiver with some very light pitting and areas of surface rust, mainly on the buttplate, bolt handle and triggerguard. Wood with oil darkening, scattered surface dents and scratches; handguard with a hairline crack near the rear sight. Good action; bore is lightly frosted in the grooves with strong rifling.
