Detroit Police marked Smith & Wesson Model 10-5 Double Action Revolver, #D563419, .38 Spec. cal., 5'' pinned barrel, nickel finish, checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions, standard fixed sights, and case hardened hammer and trigger. Backstrap is stamped ''DETROIT POLICE 18840''. Mfg'd 1973-1974. Majority of the factory nickel finish remains and the metal surfaces rate very good, showing scattered surface scuffs and scratches common with police-issued handguns. Some of the nickel with a cloudy haze that should clean to improve the overall condition. Grips show considerable flattening and wear. Factory and police marks are all sharp and clear.
