Marlin Model 336 Magnum Lever Action Carbine, #Z35146, .44 mag. cal., 20'' ''JM'' marked barrel, blue finish, straight grip walnut stock, checkered black plastic Marlin buttplate, hooded brass bead front sight, standard elevator rear sight, and gold-colored trigger. Approx. 2,800 of these rifles were mfg'd between 1963-1964; this rifle was mfg'd in 1964. Condition is near excellent overall with approx. 99% original blue finish. Receiver with light scratching. Factory lettering is sharp. Wood with a few scattered small to moderate impressions and handling marks. Action and bright shiny bore are both excellent.
