Bavarian German Model 1889 Officer's Sword, for Bavarian troops. Nickel-plated large basket guard with Bavarian lion and shield. Dark brown composite grip with finger rest. Very nice nickel-plated blade with ''In Treue Fest'' motto etched into a panel. Maker marked at the ricasso with a knight's head for W.K.C. Blade measures 33'' in length. Overall length is 39''. Blued steel scabbard has one fixed hanging ring, with a uniform coating of light surface rust. Est.: $250-$400.
