Smith & Wesson Model 36 Chief's Special Double Action Revolver, #511937, .38 Spec. cal., 1.9'' pinned barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut diamond center grips; grips are numbered to the gun. Revolver also features a case hardened hammer and trigger, and standard fixed sights. In an unmarked one-piece S&W box. Mfg'd approx. 1962-1967. Condition is very good with approx. 93% original blue remaining. Metal with general high edgewear and small scratches; cylinder with a moderate index line. Flat sides of grip frame underneath the grips with a few small spots of surface rust. Grips show age and wear consistent with the rest of the revolver, including some thinning to the finish; checkering is mostly sharp. Good action, near excellent bore. Est.: $300-$500.
