Early First Issue Colt Police Positive Double Action Revolver, #1069, .38 New Police cal., 6'' barrel, blue finish, checkered hard rubber Colt grips, half-round blade front sight and standard notched integral frame rear sight. Left side of frame with Colt ''New Police'' logo; barrel with ''July 4, 1905'' last patent date. Mfg'd 1905. Approx. 70% original high polish blue remains with general freckled spots on the finish; backstrap has worn and toned light brown. Barrel address, etc. are clear. Grips rate fine for their age with clean checkering. Good action with a smooth hammer and trigger. Bore with a few spots of minor pitting, otherwise in very good condition. Est.: $250-$400. (C&R/PPT)
