^Lot 1022 Lot of 6 Socket Bayonets

Lot of Six (6) Socket Bayonets, five U.S. and one Swiss Peabody. U.S. bayonets are marked with U.S., U U.S., U.S. TA, near the base of the blades. Blade lengths vary from 14'' to 18''. Conditions range from cleaned bright to rust patina, and rust pitting overall. Two have locking rings and there are various muzzle diameters. The Swiss bayonet is a Model 1863 for use on the Peabody and Vetterli rifles, in nice lightly cleaned condition. Est.: $300-$500/lot. (Joe Poyer collection)
