^Lot 931 Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle

Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle, #91042, .30-06 cal., 24'' barrel, blue finish, checkered pistol-grip walnut stock with an added rubber Monte Carlo cheekpiece, brown rubber Pachmayr recoil pad, sling swivels, and brown leather sling. Sights include a hooded front sight; rear sight has been filled with a dovetailed blank. Topped with a Weaver KV scope on Weaver rings and mounts; scope with a post and fine crosshair reticle. Top of barrel is marked with the name E.J. Strader. Mfg'd 1948. Condition is very good with approx. 85% thinning and lightly toning blue. Factory lettering is clear. Stock shows scattered scratches with a higher concentration on the left side at the wrist. Action is smooth; bore is excellent with the exception of some very minor peppering in the grooves at the muzzle. Scope exterior shows some thinning and wear; optics are a lightly cloudy but are free of any chips or cracks. Est.: $450-$650. (C&R)
