Italian Air Force Officer's Sword, with crowned eagle head pommel and large handguard decorated to resemble a bird's wing. Black painted wood grip with triple wire wrapping in very good condition. Lots of the original fire gilt finish remains on the hilt fittings. Condition is good overall. Blade is nickel plated with etched decorations of a plane, floral decorations, and military themes. Some losses to the nickel plating on the blade. Blade is 28.75'' long. Overall length is 35''. Black leather scabbard with brass fittings. Leather shows scuffs, scratches, and losses to the black painted finish. Est.: $350-$500.
