Russian Capture German KAR 98k Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #7455k, 8x57mm cal., 23.62'' barrel, blued finish, laminated stock, inverted ''V'' front sight with protector and adjustable tangent rear sight. Stamped on receiver ring ''ce/42'' (Sauer & Sohn), and on left rail ''Mod.98''. Waffenampt stamps on barrel and receiver. Added Russian ''X'' stamp on left side of chamber. Mismatched numbers. Cleaning rod is present, missing front triggerguard locking screw. Condition overall is very good with approx. 70% browning finish remaining on metal surfaces. Wood has been sanded leaving a rough and unfinished appearance. Bore appears dark and rusty but may clean better. Safety is jammed in the ''Fire'' position and needs adjustment, otherwise the action is smooth. No visible import stamps. Fitted with an Israeli leather sling in good condition. Est.: $300-$500. (C&R)
