Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle, #308882, .270 Win. cal., 24'' barrel, blue finish, factory checkered walnut stock, with original checkered steel buttplate and standard sights. Mfg'd 1954. Condition is excellent showing little use, with only light impressions to stock. Checks remain sharp. Aluminum magazine floorplate shows only light thinning. Front sight hood and rear sling swivel have been removed. Crisp action, mirror bright bore. Field and Stream writer Jack O'Connor's favorite rifle and caliber. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R)
