^Lot 390 Custom Katana in the Japanese style

Beautiful Custom Made Katana in the Japanese style, by knife and sword maker Don Polzien, featuring a 28.5'' hira-zukuri blade with a beautiful midare hamon. There is ashi and much activity below the yakiba, with a few tobiaki above the hamon. Boshi is ko-maru. His etched logo in a square is located near the base of the blade. Silver habaki with two grooves and cat-scratched designs. Copper seppa and dark cast metal tsuba feature a god and demon. Rayskin covered handle with cloth wrapping. Silver-colored vajra menuki, and silver colored fuchi/kashira with designs of god and fly whisk. In beautiful faux burled wood saya with semi-gloss black lacquer top. Condition overall is excellent showing almost no handling or use. Est.: $1,800-$2,400.
