Sharps New Model 1859 Civil War Percussion Carbine, #64319, .52 cal., 22'' round barrel, Sharps and Lawrence (for the integral pellet priming system) patent dates on right side of receiver, Sharps date additionally marked on left side. Originally finished in blue and case hardened metal. Oil-finished walnut stocks with faint ''ESA'' inspector's cartouche under left side sling bar, case hardened patch box, steel crescent buttplate. Condition is fine having a smooth age patina mixed with some original barrel blue; case hardening with muted colors but there. Wood is smooth and solid showing only minor use and age.
