Colt 1st Generation .38-40 caliber single action revolver with a 5 ½”’ barrel, S/N 173017 made about 1895-96. Gray patina finish with traces of blue and case where protected. Some old light cleaning. Good address and markings. All matching visible serial numbers. Front sight slimmed very slightly at the edge. Earlier Colt one piece wood grips fitted to this single action and refinished long ago. Good action and good to very good bore. Out of estate and not lettered. (Antique) Est.: $1400-$2800
