Ornate Causcasian Miquelet Flintlock pistol with niello silver decorated stock and gold damascened lock. Very fine quality silver work with gold in chased areas between niello decorations. The pistol measures 15” overall with a 8 ½” barrel of .58 caliber smoothbore. The condition is near fine with slight loss of gold on the lock and minor aging. A small retaining screw is missing behind the ball trigger and lanyard loop ismissing in the butt. The barrel shows a watered steel or Damascus pattern. Far better than average quality.
