A rare authentic decommissioned badge the was made by Alford, the official badge maker for the Texas Rangers at the time. Alford made this badge for the Ranger & the Ranger sold it back to him with the condition he obliterated the the DPS & Rangers wording to make it a non-current badge. There is only one Colonel at a time with the Rangers. Some of them serve for decades.
