Whitney-Kennedy “S” lever rifle, .44 caliber, Serial #123. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 21 ½” round barrel with replacement front and rear sights. The metal surfaces have all gone to a grey patina with Lot Title areas of light surface erosion. The hammer and trigger show old toning case hardening and the patent date is still visible on the tang. The smooth wood stock is in good condition showing moderate wear with mars and Lot Title compressions. The butt ends with a smooth steel crescent butt plate. The bore is fair, the action functions and the markings are legible. Est.: $900-$1,800. (Antique).
