^Lot 1070 Japanese Carcano Type I 6.5mm SN: J8272

Barrel Length 30.75?, manufactured 1938-1939, overall condition poor, crack on right side of stock, overall 50% original finish remaining, muzzle shows some rust, bore has pitting. The Type I rifle was purchased by the Japanese Navy in order to free up Arisaka Type 38 rifles for Imperial infantry. It is a basic Carcano action nested in Italian-made copies of Type 38 stocks, magazines, sights, etc… *C&R Firearm*
