Canadian Ross MK II. Barrel length: 28”, overall condition poor, very little original finish remaining. The rifle has been sporterized with the stock cut to the barrel band. This rifle has a Harris-type magazine with external latch, which controls the movement of the magazine follower. Bore is Dark with pitting. The Ross rifle is a straight-pull bolt action .303 inch-calibre produced in Canada from 1903 until 1918. The Ross Mk.II (or "model 1905") rifle was highly successful in target shooting before World War I. *C&R Firearm*
