Lot 1191 Carved bone mounted Japanese ko-wakasashi with a 23 blade and
28 ½” overall showing a forged steel blade and shows no temper line. Good old carving of nobles, men in kimonos and armor. Shows wear and aging. Some cracks and opening but generally good overall. Not for samurai but for merchants and non-combatants often gifted to Europeans in late 19th to 20th century for “Eye Appeal” and decoration. Est.: $300-$600
