Lot 269 Bonnheur "The Bull & The Bear" Bronze
The classic animalier subjects done by the French in 1800s depicting nature and how it is as opposed to a more humane artistic approach to life. The charging bull with head down to the standing upright Bear all resting on a ground base plinth. The base sits on a custom beveled marble plinth with Bonnheur inscribed on the bronze base. 25" x 14". Weight: 60 lbs. Very good condition.
