Extremely rare and desirable North American Arms Co. Model 1911 semi-automatic pistol, .45 caliber, 5” barrel, blued finish, checkered wood grips, two-tone magazine, S/N 22, in overall fine condition displayingconsiderable blue finish with some areas of flaking and with balance gone to a pleasing brown patina; fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings and visible S/N “22” marked on back left side of slide and on left rear side oftrigger. Per Standard Catalog of Military Firearms, North American Arms Co. (of Canada) made 1911’s for the U.S. but none were delivered to the Army. Less than 100 pistols are believed to have been assembled fromparts; rarely seen and few sold publically. A key piece for the serious military pistol collector! (C&R/PPT). Est.: $20,000-$40,000.
